
Grip Education (GRIP) is a trusted Alternative Education service based in Trafford, supporting the most vulnerable young people in Greater Manchester & beyond – those young people who, for a variety of reasons, are currently unable to learn and achieve in their current mainstream or specialist setting. We deliver safe, nurturing and high quality learning that empowers these young people to rebuild confidence, re-engage with education and successfully progress back into school or the most appropriate educational setting.

We are proud to be part of Manchester’s Inclusive Alternative Provision Strategy and, additionally, be approved to work with LAC and SEND students from all North West authorities. We have supported students from, and are recommended by, numerous Trafford and Manchester schools including Urmston Primary, St Josephs’s, Sale and St Matthew’s, Stretford. We are committed to providing a nurturing and supportive educational environment that will enable these students to develop their talents, experience success and return to full time education in due course. Our purpose is to provide a physically, emotionally & psychologically safe learning environment, along with high quality learning resources & adventures, to enable disengaged students to re-engage with their education with the aim of returning to their base school or moving to a more appropriate setting. We aim to help young people to develop their personal and interpersonal skills, gain self-confidence and self-esteem whilst continuing to advance their numeracy and literacy skills at an appropriate level, providing a positive experience of education.
