our primary provision

 The diverse education we offer at GRIP allows us to engage young people of all ages and abilities. Our Primary programme, based at Navigation Park, Timperley is aimed at KS2 students. Students attend from 10am to 2pm and engage in enquiry based learning focused around engaging topics such as Light & Dark and Myths & Magic and incorporating outdoor education. Maths and English development is key and permeates throughout activities with students being supported with their personal, social and emotional needs through creative and outdoor activities. Bobby, our therapy dog, is on hand to provide much needed support too!

 Each student has an individual learning plan which is devised in partnership with their base school. We are happy to discuss bespoke programmes including one to one support if applicable. Our curriculum is developmental not chronological, based on where a child is in their educational journey, not what year group they are in. Their work is tailored to their current stage of academic learning and social and emotional development.  

  For many of our students their personal development and social and emotional needs means that work in this area needs to be prioritised. Learning outside of a traditional classroom environment supports this. We do, however, recognise the benefits of having a strong academic core, particularly focusing on literacy (spoken language, reading and writing) as one of the primary tools through which all other learning is accessed.
